Ansoft Maxwell (32-bit) is a finite element electromagnetic field simulator for low-frequency applications. It enables engineers to model and analyze 2D/3D magnetostatic, electrostatic, DC conduction, and transient magnetic problems, including eddy currents and nonlinear materials. With adaptive meshing, parametric sweeps, and optimization, it predicts key performance metrics—torque, force, inductance, flux linkage, and core/copper losses—for devices such as electric machines, transformers, solenoids, actuators, sensors, and power electronics components. It supports motion for rotating and linear machines, as well as circuit co-simulation to capture drive and control effects. The software includes material libraries (with isotropic/anisotropic and B–H curve support), CAD import, and scripting for automation. The 32-bit edition targets legacy Windows environments and may be subject to memory limits compared to modern 64-bit versions, making it suitable when compatibility with older systems or toolchains is required.
Ansoft Maxwell (32-bit) is developed by Ansys, Inc.. The most popular version of this product among our users is 15.0. The name of the program executable file is maxwell.exe.
